Waiheke is a very hilly island, and there are many walking tracks with sweeping views. A walk through the Onetangi Reserve will take you through kauri and nikau forests, and can take up to two hours, depending on how far you want to go. The reserve is near Onetangi Beach, so you can combine a walk with some beach time.

What our guests say What an awesome location right on onetangi beach with heaps of space. Large lounge and dining. Plenty of bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one with tub for kids). This walk starts at beautiful Onetangi Beach. There is a bus stop on Forth Ave, and take one of the wooden ramps down to the beach. Take your dog, Man O' War Beach is dog-friendly too, but it's an on-lead day as most of the walk is along farm roads.. This walk makes up part of the Te Ara Hura trail, a 100km walking adventure around.
